08:45   Opening session – Kristinn Hrafnsson head of ICIJ board and Sigurður Már Jónsson vice-president of the Icelandic Press Association.

 9:00   Ideas, obstacles and methods – Winner of Icelandic Press Association Award for best investigative journalism 2011, Svavar Hávarðsson from Fréttablaðið newspaper: Dioxin pollution from garbage burning plants in Skutulsfjörður, Kikjubæjarklaustur and Vestmann Islands.

Nominee Jóhannes Kr. Kristjánsson, TV programme Kastljós on RÚV:  prescribed drugs morphine and Ritalin in the Icelandic drug market.

Nominee Ingi Freyr Vilhjálmsson DV newspaper: The economic crisis and its aftermath.

10:30 Investigative journalism in the Nordic countries and Nordic collaboration – Representatives from sister organisations. Morten Hansen from FUJ in DK,  Minna Knus – Galán from Tutkiva FI,  and Jan Gunnar Furuly from SKUP, Norway.

12:00  Lunch break

13:00  Investigative journalism, methods & tools of the trade – Investigative reporters Sven Bergman & Fredrik Laurin from Uppdrag granskning TV programme on SVT discuss their projects.

14:00  CIA´s Ghost Planes, data and international collaboration – Investigative reporter Steven Gray talks about his research behind his book Ghost Plane, the story of the CIA’s rendition program, data and international collaboration of journalists.  

15:00  Organised crime and „follow“ the money – Investigative reporter Miranda Patrucic from Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project. Organised crime, financial crimes and „follow the money“.

16:00 Data Journalism – International experience and Icelandic possibilities – Data journalist Giannina Segnini from Newspaper La Nacion in Costa Rica. Samúel White Credit Info & Hjálmar Gíslason from DataMarket discuss data journalism and service available info for journalists.

17:30 – 19:00 Break

19:00 Reykjavík Natura opens for dinner
